Crestview police seek armed man after morning carjacking

CRESTVIEW — Police seek a Hispanic male in his mid- to late-20s or early 30s who reportedly carjacked a Lowe’s Home Improvement employee this morning.

The man approached the woman in the store parking lot as she was arriving for work; he displayed a knife and demanded her to exit her 2008 black Honda CRV, taking the vehicle and her purse, a Crestview Police Department news release stated.

This incident reportedly occurred around 7:30 a.m. at 298 Rasberry Road.

Police ask residents to report the sighting of the CRV, with the tag displaying K30 5CF, by calling 911 or Crestview police, 682-2055.

Residents should not approach the man, who is considered armed with a knife, police said.
