You can relive the past with Blue Heron (Wah-ka-chobee), a Seminole/Creek Indian. Farris Powell presents a unique historical impression of the Seminole warrior at the turn of the 19th century. See history come to life in this authentic 1830s hunting camp, which features genuine clothing, weapons, tools, games and musical instruments.
This southeastern Indian hunting camp program will be outside under the full moon, 6-8 p.m., Oct. 29, at the Crestview Robert L.F. Sikes Public Library. Park in the east parking lot and follow the sounds of the Native American flute played by Dale Palmer of the local dulcimer music group, The Pelican Pickers.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and dress appropriately for the weather. (In case of rain, the program will be next door in the Crestview Community Center.) The program is for school-age children through adulthood.
