Pink Out! Day raises cancer awareness

CRESTVIEW — Riverside Elementary observed its fourth annual Pink Out! Day on Oct. 5. Students, teachers, staff and parents were encouraged to wear pink to raise breast cancer awareness.

This year, Riverside had more participants than ever, according to Hope Williams, a parent media liaison.

“When looking into the cafeteria, all you could see was pink,” she said. “The P.E. field was also a sea of pink.

“If you were looking for your child by the color of his or her shirt, it was a little more difficult on this day. The support for the cause was tremendous!
