CRESTVIEW — Free food, entertainment and children’s activities are on tap for an automobile dealership’s grand re-opening celebration.
Lee Buick GMC will celebrate its building’s face-lift 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10. General Motors painted, installed new carpet and refurnished the building.
Festivities will include southern and Christian music performances from local band Salt; Hub City Smokehouse barbecue; a “Giggles” the clown appearance, featuring face paintings and a balloon show; and TV monitors for college football fans — with no obligation to buy a car.
"Everyone in the community is invited to come out … there is no strings attached," said Scott Lee, the Crestview location’s general manager. "We want to celebrate our 66th … anniversary," Lee said, adding the event will also serve as a customer and military appreciation day.
The Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce awarded the dealership "The Business of the Year Award" for 2012, will have a ribbon-cutting, noting the dealer’s first formal celebration since it moved from James Lee Boulevard in 2005.
The dealership — which sponsors youth sports programs like the Crestview Area Youth Association and the Baker Area Youth Association — provided football equipment such as equipment bags, a yard marker set and footballs to CAYA this year. The dealership also sponsors the Crestview Quarterback Club.
