CRESTVIEW — A man found sleeping in bushes next to a fast-food restaurant was taken to jail after lawmen learned he had an active warrant for his arrest.
On Nov. 21 a Crestview police officer was called to the McDonalds on James Lee Boulevard after being told about a man passed out at the side of the business.
The officer found the man sleeping in a row of bushes next to the restaurant. The man said he knew he was trespassing but he wanted a place to sleep. He was charged with trespassing and taken to jail.
Later, officers learned he had an active trespass warrant for his arrest.
His court date is Dec. 18.
