Amunds on Biography Channel show this evening

Okaloosa County Commission chairman Don Amunds is a guest on the "Deadly Wives" show at 9  p.m. tonight on the Biography Channel.

Amunds was an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office fugitive investigator when a nationwide search was launched for Elisa McNabney, the wife and murderer of Sacramento, Calif. attorney Larry McNabney.

"We were contacted when Elisa McNabney was suspected of being in Okaloosa County, and that is when it became our case on the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force to find her," Amunds said. He was lead investigator at that time.

There is also a book about the infamous case, "In Cold Blood," which credits Amunds for information provided for the story.

The episode airs at 9 p.m. tonight; 1 a.m. and 8 p.m. March 19; and 12 a.m. March 20.
