Man arrested after accidentally stabbed by girlfriend

CRESTVIEW — A man was arrested early Tuesday after he was accidentally stabbed by his girlfriend, according to Crestview police.

Arguster Richardson, 44, of North Spring Street in Crestview, told officers he had been robbed, attacked and stabbed by an unknown assailant, according to a news release.

Police later learned that Richardson had attacked his girlfriend. As she grabbed a knife to defend herself, Richardson jumped on her and fell on the knife, police reported.

Richardson was taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with a puncture wound in his chest. He was released later Tuesday morning and charged with felony domestic battery.

He was taken to the Okaloosa County Jail. Bond was not set.
