BAKER — Alan Weidenhammer was a one-man wrecking crew for the Baker School baseball team Monday evening.
Weidenhammer went 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs scored and two runs batted in as the Gators beat Dominion Christian (Ga.) 10-2.

"The kids all did a good job," Baker coach Scott Johnson said. "They all stepped up and did a good job. "They played with some enthusiasm and the swung the bats.
"They started out and they really weren't in it the first inning and we had an opportunity to kind of mess it up, but we held them there. And then we came back and we swung the bat and put some pressure on them defensively."
The Knights scored an unearned run off Baker starting pitcher Jake Rainey in the top of the first inning and another run in the seventh inning off Gator relief pitcher Dylan Josey.
It was all Baker between the to Dominion scores.
The Gators answered the Knight run in the first inning with four runs to take the lead for good.
Adam Crowson was safe at second on a Knight error to lead off the Gator first. Weidenhammer followed with the first of his doubles to score Crowson.
Weidenhammer scored on a Mason Lowery single. Logan Nixon and D.J. Thomas also scored for Baker in the first inning.
The Gators scored three more in the second inning as Weidenhammer connected for his second double of the game. Lowery dropped down a bunt to move Weidenhammer to third and was safe on a Knight error.
Weidenhammer scored as Nixon grounded into a fielder's choice.
Ben Crowson drove a ball deep to center field that was dropped by the Dominion center fielder allowing Lowery to score. Crowson scored as the Knights committed a throwing error.
Weidenhammer's perfect day continued in the third inning when he singled to score Adam Crowson.
Baker picked up two more runs in the fifth. Taylor Carlisle connected for a double to score Ben Crowson. Carlisle scored as Jacob Nixon reached on an error.
Rainey was the winning pitcher for the Gators. Rainey worked five innings and gave up two hits and one unearned run. He also struck out three Knight batters.
"Jake Rainey does a great job for us every time he steps on the mound," Johnson said. "He throws strikes and he does great."
