CRESTVIEW — Officials have added more charges for a man accused of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office stated.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office has charged Mason Wesley Furniss, 40, of Canary Way, Crestview, with five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of felony child neglect. He has an April 23 court date.
Furniss allegedly supplied alcoholic beverages and marijuana to four juveniles on multiple occasions between August 2012 and January 2013, asked them to make out with each other, and told victims that he wanted to have sex with them, according to OCSO investigator Ralph Garrett.
He allegedly sexually molested a teenage girl on various occasions between December 2012 and February 2013 at his home, the Quality Inn in Crestview and Ramada Plaza Beach Resort on Okaloosa Island, Garrett said.
The OCSO on March 22 arrested Furniss on initial charges of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
