Pinning ceremony honors NWF State College nursing graduates

Associate of Science in Nursing graduates at Northwest Florida State College.

CRESTVIEW — Northwest Florida State College’s nursing programs held a pinning ceremony May 2 to recognize eight students who completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and 42 students who completed the Associate of Science in Nursing degree during the spring term.

Carol A. Vickers, of Crestview — the lone North Okaloosa County BSN graduate — earned the BSN Academic Achievement Award.

North Okaloosa ASN graduates include Alexis Hancharik; Naomi Kraft; Theresa Lounsbury; Melissa Maiden; Erin C. Marshall; Steve Seals; Fallon Simmons, Crestview; and April Renee Bracewell, Holt.

ASN graduates are qualified to take the Registered Nursing licensure exam.

Associate of Science students earning special recognition were Blair Bockman of Fort Walton Beach, Dionne Montgomery of Eglin Air Force Base and Angelina Willis of Miramar Beach for their Academic Achievement in Nursing; Tanya Echevarria of Fort Walton Beach for Clinical Excellence in Nursing; and Dionne Montgomery as the recipient of the Future Nurse Leadership Award.

BSN graduates are current RNs who completed the baccalaureate program in nursing.
