CRESTVIEW — The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, or OSCO, seeks recruits interested in volunteering in the OCSO Reserve Special Volunteer Program, a new volunteer program that assists residents and the sheriff's office.
Volunteers will assist with crowd control, community patrols and directing traffic, among other tasks.
All volunteers will undergo a background check before training, Ashley Bailey, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office crime prevention specialist, said in an email.
Training will begin in mid-July following background checks.
