Former Crestview police chief arrested on misconduct (DOCUMENT)

CRESTVIEW — A former Hub City police chief has been arrested on one count of official misconduct, state attorney Bill Eddins said.

Brian Mitchell falsified or caused to be falsified documents related to Joseph E. Floyd’s hiring while he was police chief, according to a state attorney’s office news release.

Mitchell was released on a $5,000 bond.

The state attorney’s office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigated the case.
