CRESTVIEW — A Crestview woman is dead following a traffic accident around 8:50 a.m. this morning.
Doris W. Hart, 81, was traveling east on Phil Tyner Road in a 2005 four-door Lincoln, and attempted to cross State Road 85 in front of a semi truck traveling south on State Road 85.
The semi truck’s front struck the Lincoln’s left side, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release, which said Hart turned in the semi's right of way.
Hart was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
"… Aunt Doris will not be defined by this tragedy, but remembered for her kindness, graciousness, and overall beauty," Jennifer Tafuri Moore said in a comment on crestviewbulletin.com.
