BLOTTER: Man rams employee's car at Crestview nightspot

CRESTVIEW – A man faces an Aug. 27 plea date after using his vehicle to ram a nightspot employee’s car following a dispute, lawmen say.

The incident occurred July 18 at Don’s Ice House on Ferdon Boulevard, according to a Crestview Police Department arrest report.

The report indicates 37-year-old Cody John Braxton was asked to leave the bar after arguing with an employee. When he was escorted to the parking lot, he refused to leave until being told the police were on their way.

At that point Braxton got into his car, started to leave, then suddenly rammed the employee’s car, pushing it back several feet and causing an estimated $5,000 in damage.

As Braxton tried to leave the parking lot he was stopped by police. Braxton is said to have gotten out of the car and spontaneously admitting he “rammed” the other car. Officers said he did not show remorse.

He was charged with felony criminal mischief.
