BAKER — Construction on the third Kingline Equipment location is underway.
The business sells new and used tractor, construction and lawn and garden equipment. In addition to sales, the business will provide maintenance and repair services.
Kingline has a store in Cantonment and Summerdale, Ala. The Baker location — 1576 U.S. Highway 90 W. — will feature a 10,000-square-foot building.
Owner Todd King, a Gulf Breeze resident, said he chose Baker to serve Okaloosa County customers.
"It was a better opportunity for us to continue expansion going east," King said. "There is a great mixture of agriculture and (economic) growth in that area."
Construction should end by November; no opening date has been scheduled, he said.
The business will hire at least five employees in the fall. Some of those positions will require maintenance and repair experience for equipment that Kingline sells.
King said the business’ Crestview Quarterback Club sponsorship is just one example of plans for the company to be active in and support the community.
