Dear editor,
Please put out a note informing people of the proper display of the United States Flag when flown on their property.
My biggest concern is during nightly hours when the flag should be illuminated — and I have noticed many flags are not.
This is what is stated in the U.S. Flag Code Section 6a: "when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness."
