It's last call for a school safety fundraiser. The Okaloosa Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, the Okaloosa County School Board, the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office and the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners are presenting an adults-only school safety awareness event.
Stand Up for Safety in Our Schools, a benefit concert, is at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. The event, for ages 21 and up, features The Moos Bros. and Red 423. Tickets cost $30. VIP tables cost $1,000.
Proceeds will help negate the costs of keeping school resource officers in all Okaloosa County schools.
WANT TO GO? Tickets are $30 each or $1,000 for a 10-person VIP table. They are available by contacting the Fleet, Spencer & Kilpatrick law firm at 651-4006 or by stopping in at the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in Shalimar. Tickets are also available online at Fleet, Spencer & Kilpatrick’s Facebook page.
