Several Crestview schools on lockdown following robbery

CRESTVIEW — Multiple Crestview area schools are on a standard, precautionary lockdown following an armed robbery of a man at his Ridge Lake Road home around 9:30 a.m. Crestview High School, Bob Sikes Elementary, Northwood Elementary, Davidson Middle School, Richbourg School and Emerald Coast Career Institute N are on lockdown following reports that a man was robbed at gunpoint outside his home in the Crestview area. The victim was struck with the weapon and was taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center for evaluation. The robber was described as a thinly built, tall young black male who wore a white mask during the crime and was believed to be wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the OCSO at 689-7505 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS.
