The Florida Legislature in 1991 established the commission, whose mission is empowering women to achieve their potential, eliminating barriers to that achievement and recognizing women's accomplishments.
Commission volunteers research, analyze and make recommendations to the governor, cabinet and legislature on issues facing Florida women and families.
