The Northwest Florida State College Foundation has established a scholarship campaign to raise $1 million for students.
“We encourage individuals, organizations, alumni and friends of the college to make an unrestricted gift in support of our students,” foundation president Fred Thomas said.
Non-traditional students, on average, are 30 years old, and more than 60 percent enroll part-time. The need for donations includes new degree programs, gaps in federal and state financial aid and unmet student financial needs including fees, supplies, and travel. Unmet needs total more than $2.6 million annually.
Gifts to “Continuing the Vision: A Scholarship Campaign for Student Success” may be made on the foundation’s website, www.NWFSCFoundation.org, or mailed to its office, 100 College Boulevard, Niceville, FL 32578.
