NICEVILLE — No North Okaloosa students placed individually in the 27th annual Math Bowl at Northwest Florida State College's Niceville campus, but Baker School came in third to winner South Walton Beach and Freeport high schools.

Teams from 21 Northwest Florida high schools competed in the March 7 event. An awards ceremony followed a day-long competition of written exams, ciphering matches and math problems.

Individual and school winners won trophies, and each class' highest-scoring student received $50. The overall highest in all categories received an additional $50.
