Fast food restaurants' drive-ins to receive renovations

CRESTVIEW — The city's two Sonic Drive-Ins will soon match the chain's new corporate architectural look. Enhancements will include new lighting, fascias and siding.

New franchisees Ricky Bagwell and Jim Prentice recently acquired restaurants in Crestview, DeFuniak Springs and Chipley, and said the Hub City's franchises missed the last corporate redesign, leaving them with a 10- or 15-year-old appearance.

With "enthusiastic" corporate support, "We're going to refresh every aspect of the businesses, with the key component being reaching out to the community," Prentice said.

The men expect physical improvements to begin within weeks and expect completion by mid-May.
