FORT WALTON BEACH — Incoming third-graders can audition for The Northwest Florida Ballet Académie from 2:30-4:30 p.m. May 3 and 4 at the Northwest Florida Ballet studios.
Third- through eighth-graders who demonstrate the potential to excel in dance are eligible for the free, integrated arts and academic program.
Certified elementary and middle school teachers, under the Okaloosa County School District's direction, supervise the academic program. French, art and music are also taught weekly.
Auditioning students must register in advance. The studios are at 310 SE Perry Ave., downtown Fort Walton Beach.

OPEN HOUSE
Parents may attend one of three open houses to learn more about The Northwest Florida Ballet Académie.
The schedule is as follows:
• 1 p.m. April 24
• 9 a.m. April 25
• 6 p.m. April 30
The April 24 and 25 events will include the opportunity to observe activities during a typical day at the school.
The April 30 event will include an opportunity to speak with artistic director Todd Allen and academic director Kelly Day.
