No injuries after train hits stuck truck in Holt

HOLT — Today, the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office received a 10:41 a.m. report of a "train versus truck carrying a large crane" in Holt, according to an OCSO spokesperson.

There were no injuries, and Florida Highway Patrol was on the scene along with CSX.

County Commissioner Nathan Boyles called it "a bad day to be a Badger" in his constituent newsletter.

"A county truck pulling a low-boy trailer with a large piece of road equipment known as a 'Badger' got stuck on the railroad tracks … the driver was unable to free the rig before a train arrived and hit the trailer and the Badger," Boyles stated.
