HURLBURT FIELD — Hurlburt Field will host Retiree Appreciation Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 and 17 at various locations on base.
Local retirees, veterans and Department of Defense ID card-holders will be offered a variety of services, special discounts and education on Hurlburt's mission.
Retirees have served our Air Force and nation with pride and distinction. They are an important part of Hurlburt Field and our Air Force
family. Base leadership would like to give back and thank them for their service.
The 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron will provide a K- 9 demonstration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. Members of the
Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight will be on hand to display their emergency response vehicle, robots, bomb suits and assorted tools. A
dietician will be present from the Health & Wellness Center to give tips for a healthy lifestyle. In addition, there will be sidewalk sales at the base
commissary and exchange.
The Hurlburt Lanes will have free bowling and shoe rental on May 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the base golf course will have green fees and
golf cart rental for $24 on May 17 after 11 a.m.
