Crestview woman charged with attempted murder

A Crestview woman is charged with attempted murder following a Saturday night fight, Crestview police reported.

Kristen Elizabeth Wagner, 39, allegedly shot her husband in the lower right side of his back with a Ruger .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

The two were arguing at their Northern Dancer Drive residence when the victim "tossed" the suspect car keys to her vehicle and closed the door to return inside the house, just before the shooting, according to a Crestview police report.

Two eyewitnesses told police they heard a loud "pop" before seeing the storm glass break, according to the report.

Wagner's court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 2.
