Lifepoint Church will provide school supplies to area children who need them during this week's Book Bag Giveaway.
The annual event — which benefits kindergartners through 12th-graders — is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the 400 S. Ferdon Blvd., church in Crestview.
Kathy Barrow, the church’s business administrator, said around 100 families regularly attend the giveaway. This year’s event will feature a drawing for four new bicycles and an iPod shuffle. Children must have parents or guardians present at the giveaway and they must be present to win prizes.
Snacks and refreshments will be available.
