CRESTVIEW — A fight between two Crestview men just before midnight last night has left one of the participants unconscious and unresponsive in a Pensacola hospital.

Doug Dockery, 32, was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with head injuries.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 40-year old Martin McDonald, of 6103 Magnolia Lane, with aggravated battery.

According to the sheriff's office arrest report, deputies responded to a disturbance call at 418 Cooper Street in Crestview, where Dockery, face up and covered in blood, was unconscious and unresponsive in the front yard.

A sheriff's office press release states, "Witnesses say the pair had been drinking for several hours prior to the fight at a friend’s home at 401 Cooper Street. They say McDonald got upset with Dockery and began shoving his head into the wall. He then threw Dockery on the ground and began punching him in the head.

"When Martin left, Dockery tried to follow him. He walked down the street calling for help."

Officers located Martin East Robinson Avenue. He told investigators Dockery had taken a swing at him so he hit him back. Martin had no visible injuries.
