CRESTVIEW — Bob Sikes Elementary School's fifth-grade robotics team seeks a volunteer to help develop an app that could change someone's life.

The team's program, "EyeProject," uses tablet technology to assist visually impaired students in mainstream classes, so they don't have to bring aids or move away to attend a school for the blind.

The students took first place in the Project category at the Jan. 17 Robotics Competition at Davidson Middle School, and have submitted EyeProject for the Florida Lego League Global Innovation Award.
