Kampert, fellow Rocky Bayou students win state Brain Bowl championship

NICEVILLE — Rocky Bayou Christian Academy announces that Crestview senior Ian Kampert has been a member of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools Annual State Brain Bowl Championship Team for all four years of his high school career.

As team captain for the school's Varsity Academic A Team, he, sophomore Ben Esses and seniors James Sung and Cameron Esses won first place in the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools Annual State Brain Bowl Academic Competition Jan. 29 and 30 in Daytona Beach.

Senior Andrew Earls, also of Crestview, led freshman Devon Lewis and sophomores Ariel Schesniak and Garret Lewis to a second-place win in the consolation round. The team celebrated the win at the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World in Orlando.
