LAUREL HILL — An 84-year-old woman is dead following a Tuesday morning car accident.
Martha Woolley Rogers, of Laurel Hill, was traveling eastbound on Third Street in her 2006 Buick Lacrosse, when she apparently had a medical emergency and coasted onto the north shoulder, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The vehicle struck a fire hydrant.
Rogers, a retired Laurel Hill School teacher, was transported to North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, where hospital staffers pronounced her dead.
