Police find cash, Xanax, cocaine at Crestview residence; 1 arrested

Over $1,700 in cash, 1,200 Xanax pills, cocaine, methamphetamine and a substantial amount of marijuana were recovered, Crestview police said.

CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, working with the Florida Department of Probation and Parole, made a significant narcotics arrest and seizure.

While helping a state probation officer search a room at 564 W. James Lee Blvd., police obtained evidence Wednesday that led to Taleasha Daniele McTear's arrest.

Before the arrest, McTear fled the parking lot on foot but was taken into custody after a brief foot chase, police said.  

Police found narcotics, cash and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release. Over $1,700 in cash, 1,200 Xanax pills, cocaine, methamphetamine and a substantial amount of marijuana were recovered.

Taleasha Daniele McTear was charged with multiple felonies including: six felony charges related to dealing and possession of narcotics. McTear was also charged with felony violation of probation.
