CRESTVIEW — The Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center in Niceville has additional diapers, baby wipes, juice boxes, chocolate chip cookie dough, and assorted bagged snacks following a local school's efforts.

Antioch Elementary's junior deputies recently collected the items, valued at several hundred dollars, for the nonprofit agency, which helps at-risk children.

The junior deputy program teaches Antioch fourth- and fifth-graders integrity, responsibility, community service and leadership, a school spokesperson said.

Parents, teachers and School Resource Officer Marcus O'Sullivan's recommendations are considered in deciding the program's participants.
