Psychiatric advanced RN practitioner joins Crestview location

CRESTVIEW — Bridgeway Center Inc. has a new psychiatric advanced registered nurse practitioner at its Crestview location.

Margaret Andem, who sees children 12 years and older as well as adults, received her Master of Science in Nursing — Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. In addition, she received a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Chipola College. 

Before receiving her Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license, Margaret worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for eight years. She has provided services for individuals, couples and families, and group therapy to mental health, substance abuse and dually diagnosed adolescents and adults in person, by telephone, and over the internet.

She has worked at the Faith Health Clinic in Marianna as a behavioral health center nurse at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, as a nurse manager for developmentally disabled adults with mental illness in intensive behavioral group homes, and as a licensed clinical social worker at Senior Psych Solutions, also known as Salus Behavioral Health.
