CRESTVIEW — The Crestview Police Department on Wednesday charged Tyler Dean Smith, 19, with sexual assault on a child over age 12.
Smith's arrest stems from an ongoing investigation in which the Florida Department of Law Enforcement forensics laboratory identified physical evidence belonging to him.
Smith's employer is listed as the United States Army assigned to the 7th Special Forces.
He was transported and delivered to the Okaloosa County Jail, without incident.
