CRESTVIEW — Daniel Kent, 51, and Melissa Moskal, 36, are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday, the Crestview Police Department's Special Enforcement Team was in the area of the Hilton Motel, 564 James Lee Boulevard W., attempting to locate a stolen vehicle. While there, they saw three suspicious people behind the motel, according to police. Two were carrying containers and, when approached by investigators, attempted to flee.
Police obtained and executed a search warrant on room 65, where they reportedly found items related to meth manufacturing.
Two of the three people were arrested and transported to the Okaloosa County Jail; police said they determined the third person was not involved.
Kent is charged with manufacturing meth, carrying a concealed weapon (knife), resisting an officer without violence, and destroying or tampering with evidence.
Moskal is charged with manufacturing meth, resisting an officer without violence and destroying or tampering with evidence.
