No injuries following 2 Crestview lightning strikes

CRESTVIEW — No injuries resulted from two lightning strikes on Tuesday, according to the Crestview Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to an incident at 806 Lloyd St. N. around 5:24 p.m.

The strike caused approximately $55,000 in structural residential damage, according to the fire department.

A scare was reported around 5:54 p.m. at the Crestview Public Library. There was no structural damage, just the smell of smoke, according to the fire department.

All north-county fire departments responded to multiple structural fires; no further details were available at this time, according to the North Okaloosa Fire District.
