CHIPLEY – The State Road 85 southbound lanes at the State Road 123 intersection in Okaloosa County will encounter brief intermittent lane closures this week.
Closures are from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. July 31 as crews place the first sets of structural steel beams that will support the new flyover bridge. Once overhead activities are complete, traffic will return to the normal detour pattern. Drivers are reminded to be alert to slowing traffic and be prepared to stop.
Construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
