Okaloosa deputies investigating Crestview sexual battery report

CRESTVIEW— The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating following a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted in the Crestview area July 25.

The victim says the attack took place sometime between 10 and 11 p.m. in the area of Primrose Street near Lost Creek Drive.

She told deputies she had gone for a walk following an argument with her husband when a man hit her in the head, pulled her into a nearby wood line, and sexually battered her. She was treated for minor injuries at North Okaloosa Medical Center.

The man is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches in height, with a slender build and close-cut hair. She says she believes he had a tattoo on his upper left arm.
