CRESTVIEW —This week is the last chance to win a customized paddle board and support an organization that helps terminally ill people.
Tickets — $5 each or five for $20 — are on sale until 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 for the Paddle for the Promise prize drawing benefiting Covenant Hospice. They are available at Covenant Hospice, Dog House Surf Shop, Big Rooster Co. Cycles and Tattoos or at eventsatcovenant.org/paddle.
Drawings will be held Saturday, Aug. 8; you do not have to be present to win.
The 12-foot Starboard Atlas Stand Up Paddle Board, donated by Dog House Surf Shop, was customized with airbrushed artwork by Keith Jette of Wicked Paint and Big Rooster Co. Cycles and Tattoos. The artwork includes an intricately detailed underwater scene complete with an octopus, jellyfish and sunken ship.
Covenant Hospice — which has offices in Crestview and throughout the Gulf Coast — is a not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive, compassionate services to patients and loved ones during times of life-limiting illnesses.
Fundraisers help fund Covenant Hospice’s special programs in Okaloosa and Walton counties; these include bereavement services, children’s support programs, spiritual support services and charity care.
