HOLT — Kody Laron Cook, 23, of an unlisted address, has been arrested on burglary and grand theft charges. Deputies also served two additional active warrants to Cook for previous cases involving grand theft, burglary, and dealing in stolen property.
According to the arrest report, the deputy received information that Cook was on his way to a home at 1437 Thunder Ridge Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday to steal a lawn mower. The deputy parked nearby and approached the address on foot. He spotted a bicycle on the north side of the road and allegedly saw Cook pushing a John Deere riding lawn mower westbound away from the house.
Cook, who was taken into custody, allegedly told the deputy he was trying to sell items to get money for his girlfriend.
