NICEVILLE — The Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries on Sept. 26 will celebrate Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day Live with two exhibitions.
The Holzhauer Gallery will host Atlanta-based mixed media artist Linda Mitchell, and the McIlroy Gallery will feature a selection of New Guinea artifacts from its permanent collection.
Both exhibitions are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northwest Florida State College, 100 College Blvd., Niceville. Admission is free.
Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day Live! is a one-day event highlighting museum visits' benefits. On that day, with a ticket from the Smithsonian website, the public may visit participating venues free of charge.
