FORT WALTON BEACH — On Saturday, Sept. 26, the Pyramid Players will present "Beal Street Blues," an original musical mystery, at the Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SE.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with a silent auction and an exhibit of fine art, archival prints, gifts and handcrafted jewelry from Pyramid’s five centers around the state. The artwork, including the featured piece, “Blue Note” by Jon Paul McDonald, will be available for purchase.
Starting at 6:15 p.m., the show will feature pre-show entertainment by Chauncy Crandall, a nationally known professional musician who has been touted as “an extraordinary vocalist with a knack for intensely heartfelt lyrics!” Admission is free, but donations are gratefully appreciated.
This is the 12th annual show for the performance company that is fast becoming one of the Panhandle’s most well-known acting troupes.
"The Pyramid Players are all adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose true talents shine through on stage," a media release states. "They are truly professional — and enormously entertaining. They provide community theatre at its best."
