Dear editor,
If you receive a piece of jewelry, make sure it was not stolen from someone else.
To the thief who opened the glove box and removed my birthday present: you're despicable. You had to walk all the way up to the garage, where we parked after returning home from (Sheriff's Deputy Bill Myers') memorial service due to the heavy rain.
Sad that you chose the wrong thing to do, and I hope someone returns the present to us, undamaged.
