CHIPLEY — Montae Barto scored a pair of touchdowns as Baker rolled to a 45-27 win over Chipley on Friday.
It was a team effort for the Gators as they improved to 6-2 on the year.
Barto was the only Baker player to score more than one touchdown. Dillon Nixon scored, Austin Davis scored, Jalen Ciurleo scored a touchdown as did his twin brother, Kalee Ciurleo. Josh Springle kicked a field goal and six extra points.
The Gators rolled up 392 yards in total offense and 21 first downs. Jalen Ciurleo led the Baker rushing attack with 85 yards on 11 carries. Jone Beck ran for 57 yards and threw for another 101.
Davis gained 55 yards on 12 rushes. Chris Roller had 18 yards rushing on three carries. And Kalee Ciurleo had 25 yards on three carries.
Nixon had 117 return yards for Baker.
The Gators have an open date Friday. They return to action Oct. 30 at Northview in a game that will decide the District 1-1A championship.
