CRESTVIEW — A man accused of driving by a narcotics investigation scene, and chucking a bag of pot from his car, is due in court Dec. 8.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office was conducting a narcotics investigation on Melissa Lane when deputies noticed a white Chevy Impala driving slowly. The car went down the street, turned onto Grady Lane and parked at a house.
A few minutes later, the driver backed out and began passing the Melissa Lane scene. Due to the driver's suspicious behavior, a deputy tried to stop the car.
The driver allegedly swerved around the deputy's patrol car and accelerated out of the area, but investigators saw his face and saw him throw something out of the window, they said.
They found a clear plastic bag of pot lying in the road, according to an arrest report.
After checking the Impala's registration they arrested 23-year-old Jordan Everett Glover of Crestview, charging him with obstruction without violence, marijuana possession and destroying evidence.
