Northwest Florida State College hosting computer conference — free, too

NICEVILLE — A free computer technology conference, "Computer Tech 2016," will bring together novice through expert computer enthusiasts.

The event is is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 in the Northwest Florida State College Student Services Center, 100 College Blvd., Niceville. Its theme is "Never Stop Learning."

Attendees will learn about the latest technology and how to use different computer software programs and hardware devices. The event features more than 40 workshops on a variety of Microsoft, Apple, Linux computer and technology topics. The event's highlight are the 10 different security workshops for home and business.

 Randall Brazelton will deliver the 8 a.m. keynote address titled, "Cyber Security for Home and Business." He is a program manager for Evolve, Tyonek Native Corporation, and manages DOD contracts for development and instruction in cyber security.
