SHALIMAR — Two Crestview residents have been sentenced to state prison on methamphetamine trafficking and other charges.
Erica Marie Hughes and Gregory A. Foss will serve 15 years for trafficking, four counts of controlled substance possession and unlawful possession of listed chemicals.
According to media release, the charges arose in April 2015 after the Crestview Police Department received numerous complaints about Hughes, Foss and possible drug activity at their Crestview residence.
"Upon execution of a search warrant of the residence, law enforcement discovered over 1600 grams of Methamphetamine and several other varieties of controlled substances. Paraphernalia used to manufacture methamphetamine was also discovered in the home. Both defendants admitted that they had been selling methamphetamine for approximately five months," the release stated.
The 15-year sentence is a mandatory minimum sentence, which means Hughes and Foss will not be entitled to early release. A fine of $250,000 was also imposed as a condition of the sentence.
Assistant State Attorney Laresa Dudley was responsible for the prosecution. The Crestview Police Department was responsible for the investigation and arrest. Circuit Court Judge Michael Flowers imposed the sentence.
