12 Crestview High students share their Google doodles (ART)

CRESTVIEW — Twelve Crestview High School students who entered a Google scholarship contest may not have passed the state competition, but they have shown the web-based company that Bulldogs have talent.

Heather Hill, Allison Bobnock, Allison Delvalle, Alyson Eickleberry, Arieanna White, Donald Couch, Edward Shackleford, Hannah Dukes, Jazmyn Little, Jessica Miller, Spencer Koschmeder, and Taylor Weist — who come from Lori Phillips’ 2D Art class and Shanna Suggs’ Web Design class — entered Doodle 4 Google.

The annual competition's 2016 theme is “What makes me… me." Kindergarten through 12th-grade participants nationwide just had to draw a sketch for the chance to win a $30,000 scholarship, a trip to Google headquarters, and $50,000 for their school. In addition, the winner's doodle will appear on the search engine's homepage.

None of CHS's participants passed the state round and advanced to national competition — voting for which starts Feb. 5 — but they did share their talent with the community.
