Crestview police chief to discuss 'major developments' in shooting investigation

CRESTVIEW — Bill Eddins, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit, and Crestview Police Chief Tony Taylor have scheduled a joint press conference 2 p.m. today at the State Attorney's Pensacola office.

"This press conference will discuss major developments in the investigation of the triple homicide that occurred in Crestview on Jan. 23," a media release states.

A suspect in this investigation, Jacob Rex Langston, is being held in the Escambia County Jail on no bond for violation of probation.

He is scheduled to make his first appearance on that charge at 1:30 p.m. today.

The press conference will be held in the State Attorney’s Office located in the M.C. Blanchard Building in downtown Pensacola.
